About the Photographer

Brent Nothern has his own unique relaxed style of photographing weddings, High School Seniors, portraits, and Groups. He combines Relaxed formal Groups pictures with casual, candid, and creative images.

Brent Nothern began taking pictures when he was five. Mostly he took pictures of his family, his dog, and his grandfather’s farm implement store in Salina. Later he managed a photography store in Topeka. Then in 1998, after ten plus years working as a professional in social services and psychology, he returned to his creative roots in photography.

He brings with him a vast background of knowledge not just of photography and psychology, but of people and life the way it is. He draws from this background in getting to understand his subject matter and in capturing meaningful images.

Brent has extensive experience in Black and White and color film photography; he now works primarily with digital photography.

He uses a high quality professional lab to print all images on archival photo paper. DVD’s, CD’s, and Reprint Rights are also available for purchase.
